Rose Garden Belly Dancing Mermaid
A beautiful mermaid, who loves bellydancing! She was inspired by my own passion for belly dancing. I love how beautiful and elaborate the costumes are! and what a hardcore workout this dance is for the abs and body!
This cute mermaid was able to grow big, beautiful roses in her garden near her palace, in the depths of the crystal blue seas. Don't ask me how she did it, but she found a way to grow roses under the sea! She loves hanging out in her beautiful rose garden, admiring all the beautiful red roses in full bloom!
The raining rose petals in this painting were inspired by a vivid, colorful dream I had. I was told it was about the ascencion, when angels fly back to heaven. In my dream, I heard the most beautiful, heavenly music, it was happy and sweet. The clouds were moving slowly, changing colors, like a light rainbow of colors, and colorful rose petals were slowly falling from the sky towards earth. It was a very beautiful and loving dream.
This is one of my largest original watercolor paintings. It measures 18 by 24 inches in size. It was created with professional grade watercolors, waterproof ink pen, glitter gel paints on bristol board. It took me many weeks to finish, from the pencils to inks to have it fully painted.
I have been inspired by DJ Sasha's song "Immortal" from the Airdrawndagger album, and the song "Ojos Asi" by Shakira, to create this painting. I also love drawing roses, as you will see them in many of my watercolored paintings.
My fascination for creating belly dancing costumes and painting mermaids helped me come up with the idea for my belly dancing mermaid series of paintings.
