about the artist
Linda Reineman Olsen has always expressed her creativity through a variety of artistic mediums. She finds excitement in continually growing as an artist...creating and experimenting. Originally from California, she grew up sailing and being inspired by her father’s interest in photography. A graduate with top honors from San Diego State University, she taught high school art in Carmel before moving to Jacksonville, Florida in the late 70’s. Working in the corporate graphic design arena as a Creative Director & Senior Art Director for 26 years helped mold her vision and stay up to date
with the state of the art computer technology. Utilizing her computer as a creative tool, her photographs are manipulated through filters and color enhancement which allows further artistic development beyond the original captured moment. Whether her photographic illustrations represent her sailing trips in the West Indies ... to fly-fishing in Montana or photo treks through Italy, her sensitive, unique stylings and eye for design have produced exceptional pieces of art. Her popular work is displayed in private homes and galleries around the country: Jacksonville, Amelia Island, Jekyll Island, St. Augustine, California, Virginia, Arizona, New Jersey, New York, North and South Carolina, Montana, Colorado, the Bahamas, and the
Florida Keys.
As a painter, Linda is drawn towards sea life, palms and the beauty of coastal waters which inspire her original oils and acrylic paintings. Especially popular are her mermaid fantasies.
