about the piece
My concern in this artwork is to grab people’s attention in to an issue that we have forgotten about totally. Child Laborer is a group of people we forgot to think about.

about the artist
Nadya Salem was born and raised in the United Arab Emirates, where she has currently working in Fortune Peomoseven Networking Agency. She has graduated with a distinguished degree in Graphic Design at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi. Nadya is an up and coming artist in the U.A.E., working namely in printmaking and photography, and has already exhibited her work extensively.
Miss Salem’s artwork is inspired by her religious beliefs, and how it encompasses her everyday life. Nature and her daily surroundings are used as metaphors to express her values and concepts. Although Nadya’s work reflects Islam, she does not want her work to target a specific crowd or to change the beliefs of others, but wants to draw attention to universal issues of humanity that are shared with all religions, races and cultures.
